At first the restaurant of grand hotel was establishment for preparing traditional chinese style food .It is also call the "Imperial Kitchen "(御膳房) which was made to prepare most delicious food to emperor of each dynasty .But nowadays the grand hotel also provide western cuisine for the forigen vistor .Here are the some kinds of restaurant :

Szechwan/Yangtze Room

Decorate with old style decor ,this room provide custom with elegant food ,show the eating habit of chinese culture .All the cuisine you see there are like masterpiece in the museum.

This room is not open for everyone except for the wedding banquet.

Cantonese Delicacies Golden Dragon Restaurant

This room provide you with food in southern china ,like 水餃 包子 seafood and etc.

Northern Delicacies Yuan Yuan

As the name you see it provide you with northern food like

The basic room type in the grand hotel

It provide you a bathroom and one bed for two people only

If your family have 4 person you should pay for the two extra person for 300 per one

And this type of rooms don't have any beautiful landscape

Superior Room

Each room of this type have a balcony where you can view different landscape of Taipei city

Keelung River,airport and night scenes of Taipei city

You may have to pay for a little bit of different price for this room

Like CHI-LIN Room and Golden Dragon Room

Junior Suite

In this class of room you can have all the service Superior Room have

A bedroom ,balcony ,bathroom and a living room that Sperior Room don't have

Executive Suite

This type of room is the best class that ordinary people can check in

The Grand Hotel is a non-profit organization ownd by the Duen-Mou Foundation of Taiwan.
It is set to increase the internationally recognition of Taiwan ,to welcome for foreign distinguish guest ( like president , boss of international business scientist , celebrated poem and etc )
To excite tourism both locally and aboardly.
In 1952 It was the establishment of grand hotel
After four year 1956 it was finished and opened



In 1968 it was rated as one of the world top 10 hotels by the US Fortune Magzine





For foresight to the future of south Taiwan , the foundation expanded it's business to kaoshiung and relocated it to Cheng-Ching Lake in 1968.





In 1995 a big fire destoried roof of the hotel during reconstruction
